It's just white clothes, with red paint on it

I went to a small art show a couple months ago to see a friends artwork. I’ve never been to an art show before and I was curious to see how they’re like. In t.v. sitcoms they always play off art shoes to be filled with pretentious unemployed hippies. I don’t think I said a single word the first hour I was there until I listened to a conversation two people were having over a clothesline with white clothing hung in faded bloodstains. I thought it was pretty cool. Mainly because I like murders.(did that sound bad?) These two discussed this piece to a point where what they were talking about wasn’t even relevant anymore. In my head all I was thinking was “It’s just white clothes, with red paint on it”. What I thought was a thought in my head was actually what I had said outloud. Anyway, I waited for my friends showcase and went home thinking about all the great art pieces in history and wondered, what the big deal is about.. I don’t know, the mona lisa. It’s just a portrait, of some, woman.
I think what was bugging me the whole day was that I find myself reading into things too much. Searching deep into something, someone, to try and define it. I don’t think it’s wrong to read into things sometimes we’re just curious. Most times, we just need to see things as they are. A white-shirt with paint on it. A portrait of some woman. And leave it to be naturally explored. Maybe it’ll always JUST be a white t-shirt with red paint on it. Maybe, that white t-shirt with red paint on it will mean something to you, the 8th or 100th time you look at it. Maybe, the next time you look at the mona lisa, she really is smiling.
Lets JUST.. be. - God is love

We're Nonducor and we like: Anime Conventions

One of my biggest pet peeves when I read blogs is when people don't give props to the person or people they've drawn inspiration from. I watched a video on vimeo, I wish I would link it to this blog but I can't find it, it was deeeeppp in the logs. Anyway, a woman from New York documented herself in photos just doing her thing, like waiting in a line for no reason, just to be around people. And I thought that was great. I decided to do the same but changed the concept. I hope to do alot of these in the future because  get really lazy to write sometimes. So, thanks to that lady and if she ever sees this when I later link her video, thank you!

I don't normally do this but uhh...

(insert sentimental caption here)

I'd try and explain the arrangement of my thoughts when I think about this picture but all I can do is trace them back to the one thought that started it all.

I miss this. Word. up.

Strange Fruit

People look at something strange or weird and they don't fully understand it. They become afraid of it. They don't feel as if they want to know any thing about it. These strange things go on being strange and keep wondering why people don't like it. Why people are afraid of it. The wonder becomes a hate for the those who don't understand it. And it makes itself, completely unapproachable.

"You don't understand me"

"You don't know me"

"You just don't get it!"

It's been closed for so long, we're too far in to reach the door and open it. but if it could just open up, and show everyone the beauty of itself. They will love you. We can't help that other people don't understand us, people are always going to take things for face value. After that, stranger, it's your turn. Tell me how beautiful you are.

We're always taught not to talk to strangers, so, let the stranger talk to you. - God is Love

Feel that way

I'll go days and days thinking of thoughts that I'd love to share with the world. Share with you. I want to put it down all on paper or on tape or on blogs but the pace that my mind is moving at is too quick for a pen, too quick for my fingers to translate. - god is love

Look up to meet eye to eye

Here's a man who inspires me to be, funny. To, always, be, fine. He may be "comedically absurd" but he's the funniest person I know. His contract is over and Conan's allowed to appear on television. Here's the first 3/4 of his interview on 60 minutes. - God is Love

They're just regular people, with super powers

I wish I had super powers. The power to write a blog everyday. ha. Anyway..
The power and influence of famous people is amazing. They can claim originality to things that have been done. They can inspire millions of people with 3 and half minutes or words and melody. They can influence people to make an unhealthy choice of food just by being in a commerical. ha. Some of them, don't realize the effect they have on thousands of people. Then again, do they have to?
I know that sounds a little selfish, but really...they're allowed to act that way. A lot of us think highly of these people as if they're "above" us. But they're not. They're just people, with a job. And nowhere in their job desription says that they have to keep up a certain public image. It's more pressure than a responsibility. Last year I posted about the whole Chris Brown/Rihanna deal on Nonducor. It raised a debate and all the arguements were proven and concise. I think it mostly comes down to the fact that Chris Brown, Celebrities, are just regular people. That make regular mistakes. That make thier own choices in life. Just like us. I really don't blame Chris, or any other celebrity that's committed a crime because that's what people do. We all make choices, some might be right and some wrong.
I might not have the same magnitude as someone like Jay-Z but I know a kid that looked at me doing something wrong and never looked at me again. It's a choice I made, can you blame me? Better yet...can you forgive me?

Conversations

An unexpected visit to the house sparked this up..

Him: "So dude, are you happy with how things ended up? Y'know, life-wise?"
Me: "Ended? It's not over yet.."
Him: "Smart, but you know what I mean?"
Me: "Honestly, I wouldn't know. I'm happy now if that is any consolation to what you're asking? haha"
Him: "Your mom's cornbeef is the bomb"
Me: "Hells yeah my brodie"

I guess some things in life do actually end. But do I? Nah, I just keep going and going..and giving. Until something suddenly makes my heart stop. - God is love
